Born and raised in Nikko, I began riding road bikes in 2010 and have traveled throughout Japan, as well as to Canada, the US, France, and Cambodia, for cycling events and tours. After taking early retirement in my 40s, I used my retirement savings to study abroad in Montreal, Canada. I then worked as an outdoor guide at One Play-it, which offers hands-on outdoor activities and crafts in Nikko, before launching NIKKO CYCLING Ciel.
