The vermilion Shinkyo Bridge over the Daiya River in Nikko

Explore Nikko’s World Heritage area on a private e-bike tour from JR Nikko Station. Visit Shinkyo Bridge, Kanmangafuchi Abyss and Kaisando, and finish in front of Toshogu Shrine.

The route follows Nikko’s history, from the legend of Shodo Shonin, the monk who founded Nikko, to the shrine of Tokugawa Ieyasu. E-bikes (electrically assisted bicycles) make the hills easy, and you park at each stop to look around on foot.

The tour ends at Toshogu Shrine. Stay on to visit the shrine yourself, or ride back to the station with your guide. The 10:00 start matches the limited express trains from Tokyo.
